Recently, Denzel Washington's Beverly Park mansion was attended by firefighters after "billowing smoke" was spotted on the property. And this triggered again people's curiosity about the actor's long-time-wrapped $80 million house. Now, you finally get the chance to tour inside Denzel's awesome 29,000-sq. ft home in California.
Denzel Washington has always carried himself as the picture of strength, masculinity, and morality in Hollywood. With a handful of awards and films upon films over the years, the A-list actor has built a whopping net worth of $250 million. So it's just no wonder that his stately mansion is well worthy of his A-list status.
Mr. Washington's massive house is nestled in the super exclusive Beverly Park Terrace neighborhood in the hillside above Hollywood, near the world-famous Mulholland Drive. Covered in trees, the wooded estate got all the privacy.
Denzel bought the fabulous home for $2.7 million in 1992 from Michael Eisner, a former CEO of the Walt Disney Company. Now Zillow estimates its value at over $80 million. The mansion looks really amazing and awesome, even with just an out view glance. That might be a reason why Mr. Washington never shows his home off.
Denzel and wife Paulette, as well as their four children, have been living in this impressive house for years. More fabulously, they are surrounded by rich and famous neighbors such as Eddie Murphy, Sylvester Stallone, and Mark Wahlberg.
Constructed in 1999 and sitting on 2.13 acres, the massive house was depicted as 28,887 square feet with four stories. It has all amenities fitting for a king, including a pool, a tennis court, and a beautiful fountain.
Denzel's huge mansion, of course, has a spacious living room. The big floor-to-ceiling windows allow the entire room to bathe in warm natural lights. Most notably, the single color of beige runs through the general interior decoration, including the carpet, walls, curtains, and furniture.
Opposite the bright windows in the living room, there is a gray stone fireplace in the wall, dotted with a quaint helm above.
Adjacent to the living room, the separate den room is surely a cozy spot for the Washingtons to relax and meditate. It features a big beautiful oil painting on the wall, opposite the doors leading to the yard.
Next to the living room, there is also a comfortable reading room that comes complete with a TV, a fireplace, several soft sofas, a wood table, and two shelves stocked with books. Denzel must have spent a lot of time reading here.
This living room is a little smaller, but it seems more lively and vibrant, featuring beautiful paintings, arrays of artworks on the inwall shelves, a small but warm fireplace, a big aquarium, a long couch, and more.
The huge property contains not only one kitchen, and this is the kitchen in the main house. It features a center island and a range of cabinets, all with white marble countertops.
From this point of view, you can see three sinks scattered on different sections of the kitchen. The dark gray floor is clean and leads to the dining room next door.
Adjacent to the kitchen, the dining room boasts an ancient cupboard, orange-brown wood chairs, spark-shaped lights, and beautiful french doors that lead to the garden.
The lavish home is stocked with 8 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms in total. The spacious master bedroom features a once upon a time wardrobe.
The master suite is big enough to contain a separate closet that connects to two independent bathrooms.
In one of the two bathrooms in the master suite, there is a glass-built shower, a bathtub, and a sink with a black marble counter.
To make the master suite complete, Denzel also set up an attached office near his bedroom.
In addition to the closet in the master suite, the large house also has an independent cloakroom that is loaded with clothes and shoes.
Outside the main building, a beautiful swimming pool runs along Mr. Washington's driveway. And next to the pool, there is a spa room and two guest houses.
This is one of the two guest houses, featuring two neat beds and several spark-shaped lights hanging from the ceiling.
Besides a bathroom, this guest house also has its own kitchen that is equipped with all appliances you need for cooking.
This is the other guest house that features a bunk bed. Also, this house contains one of the 14 bathrooms on the entire property.
Apart from all the amenities we've mentioned, the house also has an in-house bar, a theater room, a five-car garage, and more. Moreover, there is an added bonus - a 4-acre park at the center of the Beverly Park gated community.
In addition to the Beverly Park Mansion, Denzel Washington also has two other houses. One is a $13 million, 3,000-square-feet apartment in Center Park West, New York. The other is a $1.1 million, 6,334-square-feet traditional home in Toluca Lake, CA.
