James Bond icon Sean Connery departed this life at the age of 90. Now his longtime French Riviera home is back on the market, listing for a whopping $27 million. This seafront resort looks like it is plucked straight out of his classic movies. Now let's take a tour inside!
The seafront 1920s mansion is actually built on a hillside, boasting magnificent views overlooking both the Cap de Nice Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.
A distinct Belle Epoque style carries throughout the five-floor mansion, making it fitting for several scenes in the Bond film, Never Say Never Again.
As the never-ending coastalline suggests, the sprawling property is anything but a holiday hideaway for Sean Connery. In fact, he lived here for a couple of years, from the 1980s to the 1990s and also earned his stunning home a nickname, "Sean's place."
Setting on the 24-acre grounds, it's not a leap to know that the palatial retreat comes complete with five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two guest rooms.
An abundance of brightly coloured plants, shrubs, and palm trees as well as the sky-blue sea grace the building, helping give off a soothing vibe. But that's not all, it also has an acre of terraced gardens.
Though the house is already super secluded from the hustle and bustle of city life by its own right. To enhance its privacy, it also repletes with automatic gates at the end of the sweeping driveaway.
At the corner of the stone stairs, there's a gazebo that offers the panoramic views of the sea. Sean could appreciate the gorgeous landscape while savoring a glass of the fine wine.
Or he could tread along the zigzag terrace to admire a splendid sunset.
Upon entry to the porch, you'll be greeted by the grand reception and entrance hall featuring mosaic-tiled floor which leads to the main living room.
Step inside, you will still catch sight of the glamorous sea views, as there are plenty of windows in the walls.
The dressing room is overflowing with understated while elaborate details. Sean's French Moroccan artist wife Micheline Roquebrune must have enjoyed the days living here.
Sure enough, the property also has two eye-catching swimming pools and one of the most idyllic pools ever on the planet.
Here is the food and wine cellar in which the fine wine and the kitchenware are neatly-arranged.
Surely, the home is equipped with a gym and fitness room. Otherwise, how could the cool Bond keep in good shape?
Though we've sadly lost one of the greats of the movie industry, Sean's legacy will be sure to pass on.
